FERTILIZATION HAS BEEN MADE WITH UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES IN A WHEAT FIELD IN ANTALYA. WHEEL TRACKS AFFECT THE PRODUCTION NEGATIVELY IN FERTILIZATION WITH TRACTOR. ALSO, DRONES ALSO OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE FERTILIZATION WHERE THE LAND IS NOT SUITABLE.
Solid fertilizer was applied to 3 agricultural drones brought to the 1084-decare wheat field planted in Akdeniz University Faculty of Agriculture Aksu farm.
Fertilization was carried out with unmanned aerial vehicles in places where university students were also present.
"Drones allow us to fertilize where the land is not suitable"
Akdeniz University Faculty of Agriculture Dean Prof.
Expressing the result that excessive oils are allowed to apply fertilizer on time with the tractor this year, Erkan said, "We started the granular fertilizer application with unmanned aerial vehicles for the first time in Turkey from Antalya. Drones allow us to fertilize where the land is not suitable. Thus, we provide a significant increase in yield."
"Negative effect of eliminating wheels in fertilization with tractor"
Drawing attention to the negative aspect of the disappearance of the ruts in the fertilization with the tractor, Erkan emphasized that such negativities are avoided since the fertilization made with the unmanned aerial vehicles is independent of the field.
Erkan stated that unmanned aerial vehicles are used in agriculture in many parts of Turkey and spoke as follows:
"It is important to use unmanned aerial vehicles for fertilization in order to eliminate both the negativities brought by the rain and the methods of the tractor. We are also carrying out this application, which is the first in Turkey and in our university, on our 1084-decare land in Aksu."
